Looks like home

Yesterday The Girl and I visited a favorite art gallery. This watercolor demanded to come home with me because it includes my two favorite natural motifs: mountains and trees. It's of the Blue Ridge Mountains where I grew up. It was framed and on sale, which made the decision to purchase it even easier.

It's displayed in my kitchen and every time I see it, I'm so happy it's there. It's like a window to a better place for me.

I scanned it with the lid up, so the color of the frame is off. The frame is actually black, the mat is fabric, a deep indigo blue.

This is the work of Deborah E. Booth.
