So nice. If I remember, I'll have to take a picture of the sunflower that Duke painted when he was four years-old. I think you'd like it.

Chris,

In my family room, I have a framed painting my son did in 3rd grade of sunflowers. : ) They ARE my favorite flower. I also have a theorem painting on a sunflower and blackbirds hanging in my dining room.

More synchronicity, V. The Good Husband's birthday is this weekend. I've been working on a card for him, too. And I am a certified Master Gardener through the University of Arizona. My first two books are on horticulture and gardening in the desert southwest.
About your card... the color palette is warm and masculine and the textural elements turn the card into a piece of art. It is a gift in and of itself. I love it.

Happy Birthday to the Man, and what a lovely card. I hope he loved it.

Oh ... and just what I needed here in Belgie, stuck at my desk again xx

I had previously purchased one of Stampin' Up's "stamp-a-ma-jigs" to help align the wooden blocks without being able to see. It's fun to hear there is a new option. Of course I really don't need more reasons to add to the two gigantic blue tubs full of stamps sitting in my basement! Love the brown and pink valentine, by the way.

Is Di back in Flanders?
January 28, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterExpat CIT
Yes, Di is back in Flanders.

I never used a stampamajig, in part because I'm not inclined to be that precise in stamping. My style is looser. I hate to measure or agonize over positioning things perfectly, though I admire the cards of people who go with a very clean well crafted style. I just don't have that in me!

I SO wish you lived closer. I don't have any stamping buddies close by.
