Such a fine line

The Girl took these photos with one hand while holding Jacques' leash. When she downloaded them, I was struck how the snow in the photos could easily be seen as sky.

It made me think about the power of perception and the fine line between dreams and reality, clouds and earth.

Jacques is one lucky dog! Isn't it great how one creature's life can change so quickly? And yours as a result. (I really like his name.)

Jacques is doing well and a good fit for our family. He's quiet and friendly, however he's not the kind of dog who does his "business" the moment he gets outside. This is an issue because we don't have a fence. When the weather is bad (heavy rain or snow), it can be challenging to walk him as far as he needs to go to do what he needs to do. (Doo!) I walk him two or more miles a day and the kids walk him as well.

Our petite girly cat, Holly, has slowly stepped out and made peace with Jacques. Pete, our big black Belgian cat, still spends most days under the bed. He's adjusting very sloooowly. However, the more he hides, the more intrigued Jacques is by his presence. At night, Jacques is secured in the Boy's bedroom and the cats rule the rest of the house.

He really has beautiful markings! Your girl did a better photographing with one hand, while holding a dog with the other, than I do with two hands and totally concentrating. Jeesh!
