Small town life is beautiful

I was happy I had my camera with me when I stepped out of a bookstore downtown. So many photos, begging to be taken.

Forget the diamonds in the window, my heart belongs to the dog, watching the street from the jewelry store window.

The light was stunning, and I'm guessing that apartment at the top left is too. I can't believe I never noticed it before.

I was seduced by the light and the windows high above the sidewalk. Cropping the photos closely reveals what caught my eye, a soft wash of color and shadow, the texture of old brick and peeling paint, the beauty of  half circles and untold stories.

I love the Crismond's sign. Why don't businesses use these types of signs anymore?
