Art Journal--Freedom to make mistakes
May 27, 2011 at 13:53 This week in the studio, I tried some new techniques and had less than stellar results. Some paper projects were cut up so I could salvage parts of them and recycle them into other projects. Some were thrown away. And there's a 12 x16 canvas sporting layers of collage and glazing that has an uncertain future. This piece though, based on my own photograph, made me happy.
The title of this piece is a favorite line from a bluesy Lyle Lovett song:
"She wasn't good but she had good intentions."
Applies to life, art, and relationships--sometimes all three at once.
