My scrapbooking magazine debut

More than a year ago, I was contacted by a writer for a scrapbooking magazine about an article she was doing on scrapbooking in Belgium. We corresponded for a bit, I gave her the names of other scrapbookers I knew, and sources for supplies and classes here. She interviewed me and the other scrapbookers and requested samples of our work.
The article was finally published this past fall, and there's a section on me and a sample of my work. The project that was featured was developed from a series of posts that I wrote my first year of blogging, each one an attempt to capture the essence of a month in the year. Later on, as I began to experiment with art and scrapbooking, I wanted to do an album that was based on words, not photographs. I decided to work from my Seasons series and create from there. Here's the page that was featured in the magazine:

An interesting note on the layout. I wanted to capture the sense of fog (both physical and mental) that is so prevalent in February in Belgium. I had a rubber stamp featuring trees, but couldn't get the effect I wanted stamping it on the front of the paper. I finally found a solution when I stamped the image in black ink and then flipped the paper over. The tree image appeared through the paper as if it was in fog, and I was able to create my heading over it in gray ink.
